Polish Music Center “Website Reboot” Campaign
After more than 20 years online, the PMC website urgently needs a redesign! Since our content is exclusively in English, the PMC website serves a unique role in promoting Polish music to the entire world, a mission that began with our founder, the late Wanda Wilk. In the next few months we must redesign and streamline our pages to conform to the latest USC web presentation standards, converting all of our existing content into a graphically-appealing, user-friendly format. The new PMC Website will be introduced in Fall 2017.
Working with USC Web Services, we expect to incur substantial costs to our already stretched budget. The preliminary estimate for this project is $10,000. We take this opportunity to ask all of our regular and occasional supporters, readers of the monthly Newsletter and users of the PMC website to pitch in and help us raise the necessary funds.
As many of you know, the Polish Music Center at USC’s Thornton School of Music is a unique research institution and library, serving students and scholars worldwide. Our priceless collection of manuscripts by leading Polish composers, museum-quality memorabilia, and sound and print archives represent unparalleled resources for the community we serve. Founded in 1985, the PMC produces world-class concerts and conferences, directs the Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles, introduces young musicians to Polish music and culture, publishes and supports innovative musicological research, and maintains a highly informative website with our flagship monthly online Newsletter.
