USC WOMEN'S CLUB VOLLEYBALL 2022

ABOUT US

The USC Women’s Volleyball Club team offers student-athletes the opportunity to compete at high level of competition, while having fun and creating lasting friendships on and off the court. Our program is composed of two teams, Cardinal and Gold, competing both regionally and nationally. With the help from our amazing coaches, Jessica and Michael, the dedicated players in our club, and supporters like you, we look forward to another fun and competitive season.  

Throughout the Fall and Spring, we practice twice a week with the bulk of our Spring season kicking off in January with our first tournament! During the season, you can see us play against other universities and colleges such as UCLA, UCSB, and UCSD within the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League (SCCVL). Along with our involvement with the SCCVL, we will also travel to compete against hundreds of teams from across the country within the National Collegiate Volleyball Foundation (NCVF). Nationals this year are being held in Phoenix, Arizona! Our program is entirely run by elected student volunteers with advisement from the USC Recreational Club Council (RCC). For the 2021-2022 academic year, Annie Eales and Kelsey Cohen are the Co-Presidents and represent the program to campus administration, organizations, and to regional/national club volleyball associations. With the help of our two amazing coaches, we strive to be our absolute best and compete at the highest level possible. We're off to a hot start as our Cardinal team has already placed second in our first pre-season tournament!

WHY DONATE

Our annual budget is heavily reliant on player dues and donations from people like you! The RCC continues to support the program by providing some financial aid, but this is not enough to cover the expenses for equipment, gear/jerseys, and travel expenses. Your financial support will go directly to these things, and this year we hope that with increased support of $6,000, the team will be able to accomplish the following:

• Eliminating Financial Barriers and Increasing Accessibility: The cost of dues presents financial obstacles for many student athletes. With donations from donors like you, each student who wishes to participate will be able to do so. Your financial support will provide financial assistance to students in need. 
• Travel to our Tournaments: Each year, travel is becoming increasingly more expensive. Hotel, gas, and airfare costs continue to rise and our budget needs to increase to account for the increasing costs. Travel costs take up the majority of our budget and we would like to continue to participate in as many tournaments as possible without having to sacrifice due to high costs.
• Community Building: Participating in this sport not only allows for them to pursue their passion, but also fosters an environment to create lasting friendships and connections that will last them a lifetime. This club places an emphasis on women empowerment and grants the freedom of individual expression along with a strong sense of community. 
• Gear and Equipment: We would like to be able to purchase new gear and jerseys for both teams! The jerseys are passed down year to year but a lot of jerseys are missing or have holes in them (oh no!). We would like to be able to buy new sets of jerseys for both teams in a variety of sizes and colors. 

Your donations will help support the immediate and future needs of the program to help us achieve our goal of being the highest nationally ranked team in the NCVF!
