USC Viterbi School of Engineering

USC Viterbi School of Engineering

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering brings together extraordinary students, alumni, staff and faculty who are committed to recognizing and solving global problems.

Our mission is to engineer a better world for all humanity – a mission more urgent than ever. Below are several examples of the critical work that is taking place here at USC Viterbi to achieve that goal.

Engineering students are working hard to apply their knowledge toward the pandemic, sustainability and human-centered diagnostics. Taking what they have learned in classrooms and labs here at USC Viterbi, our solutions-oriented students have used their knowledge and skills to make impactful changes around the world.

The Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg Human-Centered Computation Hall: A New Home for Computer Science

Science and technology are playing a more vital role than ever in every aspect of life, and the USC Viterbi Department of Computer Science is leading the way, helping to find solutions to the world’s most challenging problems.

Planned for a 2023 opening and located at University Park Campus, USC Viterbi’s 116,000 square-foot Dr. Allen and Charlotte Ginsburg Human-Centered Computation Hall will integrate all of our computer science programs into a transformative seven-story structure that will:

  • Advance USC Viterbi’s role in improving and benefiting society through areas including artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics
  • Attract the best students and faculty by creating an environment in which they flourish
  • Serve as a living laboratory that supports USC’s commitment to sustainability, health and well-being
  • Set the bar for USC’s zero-energy emission as the first LEED Platinum certified building at USC
  • Engineer a better world for all humanity

USC Viterbi faculty members are using their engineering expertise to address local and global issues.

By making a gift today in support of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering — whether it is to support the Engineering Innovation Fund or a specific department or program — you will help our faculty and students conduct life-changing research and lead transformative projects by providing them with the tools and materials they need. Without the support and generosity from our alumni, parents and friends, much of this work would not be possible.

Thank you for your consideration in making a gift in support of our engineering students and faculty.
