USC Physical Therapy Multicultural Leadership Alliance

The USC Physical Therapy Multicultural Leadership Alliance (PTMLA) is a student-run organization striving to increase exposure to physical therapy as both a viable profession and accessible healthcare service. PTMLA strives to raise awareness centered around equity, diversity, and inclusion within the healthcare field, our campus community, and beyond. The leadership and service opportunities afforded through outreach events and educational programs at local schools are enriching for both students and communities involved. PTMLA is active in serving global communities in need and promoting the benefits of pursuing PT as a profession in the local community.

PTMLA seeks to raise $5,000 to provide scholarships to incoming Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students of underrepresented minority backgrounds who are motivated to serve underrepresented communities and promote diversity within physical therapy.

The purpose of the scholarship is to offset the unmet financial need of students receiving a graduate education and increase minority attendance.

Make a gift today to help us award two first year DPT students from an underrepresented minority background in Spring 2022. Your support allows us to continually increase the amount of this award and support DPT students pursuing professional excellence and service. Thank you for your support!
