Dear valued Grant Imahara Ignite campaign donor,
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $50,150 for K-12 STEM programs in honor of Grant Imahara. In addition, you have helped us name a study lounge in his old electrical engineering building to create a comfortable space for students for decades to come.
While our work with this campaign is almost done, the Grant Imahara STEAM Foundation, comprised of his family and life-long friends, continue to work hard to give back to the underserved community through mentorship, grants, and scholarships. Please click here to opt-in to the Foundation’s mailing list so that you receive the latest on their work and partnerships.
Thank you again for making an impact on USC and our surrounding community.
Best,
The USC Viterbi Alumni Relations & Annual Giving Office

With hundreds of donors pulling through this past week, Wade Bick, '93 and the USC staff are so grateful for your support of our K-12 STEM programs in Grant’s name!
We'd like to especially thank Kristen Lomasney at Tested.com for all of her help to raise awareness of our campaign last week.

Take care and FIGHT ON!
Grant Imahara was a great friend, to me and to many other people. He would go out of his way to help you, he was fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. When he passed away suddenly in July, I felt like I had to do something to honor his memory. Grant and I and our friends spent countless hours studying and working in labs at USC where we were engineering students, so I thought it would be appropriate to have a study lounge named after him at USC's Viterbi School of Engineering. Since that time, I've been working with friends from USC and the board of the Grant Imahara STEAM Foundation to make this happen. To dedicate a study lounge at USC will require a $50,000 donation with proceeds going to the USC Viterbi K-12 STEM Center, a place where underprivileged kids can learn about tech and learn how much fun it is to build things. Grant liked to help people learn and he liked to build things. I think he'd love to know we're donating money to a cause like that. We're at about 35% of our goal so we still have a long way to go.
Please consider sharing this campaign (https://ignite.usc.edu/grantimahara) to your network to keep the momentum going.
In 2020, a lot of people spent time tearing other people down. Grant liked to build things. So let's try and make 2021 about helping people learn to build as a part of Grant’s legacy.
Fight On!
Wade
To All Grant Imahara Memorial Study Lounge Ignite Campaign Supporters:
Thank you to all of you for making a gift in support of our campaign. Today, December 1st is #GivingTuesday, a powerful day of giving. Its mission is to create a global generosity movement that will unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
We’d like to ask all of you if you could please help to promote our campaign (https://ignite.usc.edu/grantimahara) by posting it on all of your social media page and emailing it to your family, friends and co-workers to encourage everyone in your network to join you in supporting our project on this day of giving.
We know there will be a lot of organizations who will be asking for support as well, but we hope that as a USC Viterbi Ambassador you can help bring additional donors to support the USC Viterbi campaign you were passionate about.
Thank you for all that you do in support of the memory of Grant Imahara, '93, and for our students and school. We couldn’t do this without you.
Happy Holidays! FIGHT ON!
Thanks to 39 donors, we are at 17% toward our $50,000 goal. All proceeds to this naming will go directly to Viterbi’s K-12 STEM program, bringing innovative STEM projects to under-resourced K-12 schools, teachers, and families in Southern California. We are so grateful for your support.
We still have a ways to go and here’s how you can help:
