We are USC’s Women’s Ice Hockey team, dedicated to playing and teaching ice hockey to women and other groups historically underrepresented in the sport. Our practices and scrimmages consistently welcome and accomodate players of all backgrounds.

Our program goes beyond hockey, providing a unique opportunity for students from different majors, backgrounds, and ages to connect and learn from one another. Additionally, we are committed to giving back to the community by volunteering with The Empowerment Effect (TEE) nonprofit to teach underprivileged youth the joys and skills of ice hockey. We are active participants in the larger women’s hockey community in Los Angeles, fostering inclusivity and growth in the sport.

However, ice hockey is one of the most expensive sports to play, with high costs for rink rentals, tournament fees, and gear creating barriers to entry. For instance, renting ice rinks costs nearly $500 per practice, and even a single set of second-hand gear can cost around $150—expenses that pose significant financial challenges for many of our players.

Your support can help us break down those barriers. Donations will also directly fund our team’s participation in the Las Vegas Gambler’s Cup tournament this coming April—a key opportunity for us to grow as a team and represent USC on a larger stage.

Additionally, your generosity will help cover rink rentals for practices, game expenses, and gear for our players, ensuring that we can continue to make this sport accessible and welcoming to all.
